Terms & Conditions

Booking Information


We require a non-refundable 25% deposit to secure the booking. The balance will be due within 6 weeks of arrival.
If arrival is is within 6 weeks of booking then full payment will be required to secure the booking.
Payments must be made within 24 hours to secure the booking. 
If the deposit payment is made by credit or debit card the balance payment will be taken automatically from the same card, please contact us if you do not wish for it to be taken automatically. 
Balance payments must be received within 7 days of the date specified on your booking summery.
If any deadline can not be met please contact us. Failure to meet payment deadlines could result in your holiday being cancelled and resold.
All bookings made through our website or through third party websites are provisional until confirmed by us. You will receive a booking confirmation with 24 hours of booking.

Cancellations


In the event of you needing to cancel your holiday please contact us as soon as possible.
Deposit payments are non-refundable, so please make sue you have adequate travel insurance in place at the time of booking.
If you cancel your holiday more than 7 weeks in advance then you can transfer your deposit to other dates (within the same year) subject to a £25 admin charge and on the condition that we can resell your original dates. 
If you have paid in full for your holiday and need to cancel then we will offer to resell it for you, provided it is more than 2 weeks from the arrival date. If successful we will refund you the amount the holiday resold for less the non-refundable deposit payment and a £25 administration charge.
You will not be reimbursed if the holiday is not resold or if the cancellation is made within 2 weeks of arrival date.
Holiday dates can not be changed within 6 weeks of the arrival date.
If booking for a group or other people please note the person who made the booking is responsible for the booking and making any changes or cancellations.

In the unlikely event of the yurts not being available due to fire, flood, storm risk/damage or other unforeseen circumstances then we will refund the full cost of the holiday. But will not accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss.

If your booking is through a third party website then please make sure you have read their terms and conditions also, as these may differ from ours.

Arrival & Departure


Your yurt will be ready from 2:00pm on arrival day, unless we otherwise agreed in advance and we strongly advise you arrive before dark - which may be before 4:00pm in the winter months.
As we are a working smallholding and do not have a reception we request that you let us know your approximate time of arrive at least one day before you travel and advise us on the day if you are going to be later than planned.

Please vacate your yurt by 11:00am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.

Campsite Karma & Other Stuff


As the shower, loo, kitchen areas are shared we ask you to please clean up after yourself and try to accommodate the usage of others.

 We are a relaxed quiet site. We do not allow amplified music and request that all noise be kept to a minimum after 11:00pm.
 Firewood is provided with no additional charge and represents a significant cost to ourselves, we therefore ask our guests to be respectful of this by only burning what is required and never leave the campfire or wood burner unattended. We are happy for you to re-arrange any of the benches and furniture as you wish, but request that you leave your yurt exactly as you found it at the end of your holiday; this includes putting up any of the futons that have been put down for extra guests and putting any furniture/BBQs that have been moved back in their original places.
 All rubbish should be sorted and placed in the correct recycling bins provided. Outdoor shoes must not be worn inside the yurt, for this reason we advise you to bring slippers or other easy to kick off footwear.
 We only ask for a damage/cleaning deposit for group booking as the majority of our guests are careful, however we do understand that sometimes accidents happen. If you do break or damage anything we would ask that you report it to us immediately, so that we can make arrangements to replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases as we accept that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected.

General Safety


Each yurt has a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. We also provide heat resistant gloves for loading the stove and can provide a fire guard for the stove (on request). 
No candles, tea lights, paraffin lanterns or similar are allowed in the yurts. 
Campfires are to be attended at all times and must be kept small and manageable. 
We are happy for everyone to explore the site but please make sure children do not cross over the boundaries to our neighbours fields or our garden.
Children should be supervised at all time. 

We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
